Salman is the fittest of all actors

New Delhi: Superstar of Hindi film industry, Salman Khan left behind fellow stars like Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal to grab the first spot as India’s fittest actor in an online poll.

Salman received 43.36 percent votes while Hrithik got 42.81 percent votes

The poll was conducted by TheHealthSite.com, a health and wellness site, where more than 30,000 people voted for their favourite stars.

Salman and Hrithik’s fan following on social media ensured that they received the maximum number of votes defeating other fit actors, said a statement.

Salman received 43.36 percent votes while Hrithik got 42.81 percent votes.

Vidyut Jamwal, Arjun Rampal and Shahid Kapoor grabbed third, fourth and fifth place respectively with 3.35 percent, 1.92 percent and 1.74 percent of the votes respectively.

Salman Khan will not be casting his vote this year. The actor is currently shooting for Kick in Poland will miss the D-Day in a democratic nation like India. Sallu is busy hanging himself from the 40th floor of a high rise Palace of Culture and Science and canning action sequences there. Not to mention, he is missing all the action in the Lok Sabha elections 2014.  

The actor whose film is scheduled to release in Eid this year wants to complete his much delayed project and hence decided to skip casting his vote it seems. Sallu however remained in news during the propaganda of the ongoing elections. The Jai Ho star was first miffed with AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) leader Arvind Kejriwal for using his title track for their party’s promotions without his permission. The actor also grabbed headlines when shared lunch with BJP’s (Bharatiya Janat Party) presidential candidate Narendra Modi and went kite flying with him. Not not forget that Sallu miyaan‘s dad veteran writer Salim Khan too praised Modi in his recent interaction with the media.

Was work the only reason why Salman stayed away from casting his vote? Or was he trying to avoid any further complications by associating himself with a particular political party?

Salman Khan frenzy hits Warsaw

From being followed by fans everywhere to getting wide media coverage - the filming of Bollywood film 'Kick', which stars Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles, has generated frenzy in the Polish capital.

Director Sajid Nadiadwala, who is shooting the film's climax here, had no inkling people would react like that when he parked himself in the city for the shooting.

Wherever he goes to shoot, a mixed crowd of Indians and Polish fans of Bollywood films follow him. They also chant "Salman, Salman" whenever the Hindi movie superstar comes on the set.

Shooting is in full swing for the past 10 days and Gazeta Wyborcza, the largest newspaper here, is giving wide coverage to the shooting. It has put four journalists on the job.

Private Polish TV channel TVN also gives big coverage to the 'Kick' unit, which is expected to wrap up the shooting by the end of the month, almost every day.

"The day is not far when Warsaw can be known as Warsaliwood for the Bollywood producers. The locales and natural scenic beauty would prompt Bollywood to select Poland for their outdoor shootings.

"The (production) cost is much cheaper and the civic authorities are cooperating generously. A city like Warsaw has more than 20 five star hotels and there are 30 Indian restaurants. The stars and the crew can have food of their choice anytime of the day or night. Young and beautiful Polish girls are ready to work as extras in the item numbers," wrote Michael Wojytczuk in Gazeta Wyborcza.

Anna Kalata, a former labour minister and vice president of the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPPCI) and J.J. Singh, the president of the IPPCI, believe that once the film releases and if it is a commercial success, many Indians would like to come to Poland as tourists as it happened in Spain after the release of Zoya Akhtar`s 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', a few years ago.

"Poland is changing fast and for the better. Cities like Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw have wonderful infrastructure. A city like Lodz has the world famous film institute where Andrezej Wajda, Krzystof Zanussi and many other famous directors had started their film training.

"Polish authorities are keen that Poland should be recognised as an important country internationally," added Singh.

Meanwhile, Pawel, a Polish journalist, in his tongue-in-cheek style has offered a screenplay a la Bollywood movie. He wants to use the same cast as Nadiadwala has in 'Kick'.

In his proposed story, Salman will act as a chef in an Indian restaurant, situated in the centre of Warsaw and he will bail out a Sri Lankan illegal migrant Jacqueline from the clutches of a Pakistani terrorist, Randeep Hooda.

So far neither Salman nor Nadiadwala have shown any interest.

It seems they have enough on their plate as they want to release the film by the end of July.

When we produced Highway, Imtiaz Ali and I planned it as a small experimental quickie while we waited for Ranbir Kapoor’s dates later during this year. How would we know Highway would be such a success?! It is one of my proudest achievements. And now I hear roaring reports of 2 States“.

Sajid Nadiadwala has taken his production house to the next level with back to back releases lined up. Along with his directorial venture with Salman Khan,making huge waves already, 2014 definitely is going to be a great year for Sajid.

Here’s hoping that the prolific filmmaker can be a part of the much needed Khan reunion and none other than Sajid Nadiadwala who is good friends with all the Three Khans, he can make that happen. Hope that the success bash will soon turn into a much larger celebration for the Indian Film Industry. 

Salman Khan's ex Sangeeta Bijlani to make a comeback?

Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend and former actress Sangeeta Bijlani is planning to make a comeback on silver screen after two decades of absence from it.

According to the reports, Bijlani has signed director Onir's next film Shab, a love story based in South Delhi.

She is reportedly playing the role of a high society fashion patron in the film.

Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics CEO, may want to cast Deepika Padukone as Veronica and Katrina Kaif as Betty but Bollywood fans want Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Kaif as the trio.

Bollywoodlife.com conducted a poll to find out who will be best suited for the roles of Veronica, Archie and Betty, if the comic is made into a Bollywood film.

Fans voted for Khan and his ex-girlfriends Bachchan and Kaif for the lead characters. While 38 percent people voted for the Bachchan-Salman-Kaif team, 25 percent voted for Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor-Kaif.

"Main Tera Hero" lead pair Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz, along with "2 States" actress Alia Bhatt, came third with 19 percent votes, while evergreen romantic jodi Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, along with Priyanka Chopra, came at fourth position with 11 percent votes.

Archie has a huge fan base in India, due to which the writers decided to introduce two Indian characters - Raj Patel and Amisha Mehta - in the comic series.
