Fans Voted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif as Veronica, Archie and Betty

Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics CEO, may want to cast Deepika Padukone as Veronica and Katrina Kaif as Betty but Bollywood fans want Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan and Kaif as the trio.

Bollywoodlife.com conducted a poll to find out who will be best suited for the roles of Veronica, Archie and Betty, if the comic is made into a Bollywood film.

Fans voted for Khan and his ex-girlfriends Bachchan and Kaif for the lead characters. While 38 percent people voted for the Bachchan-Salman-Kaif team, 25 percent voted for Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor-Kaif.

"Main Tera Hero" lead pair Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz, along with "2 States" actress Alia Bhatt, came third with 19 percent votes, while evergreen romantic jodi Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, along with Priyanka Chopra, came at fourth position with 11 percent votes.

Archie has a huge fan base in India, due to which the writers decided to introduce two Indian characters - Raj Patel and Amisha Mehta - in the comic series.
