Salman Khan's Blackbuck poaching case hearing today

A Jodhpur Court will be hearing the blackbuck poaching case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Monday, March 10. The silver-screen superstar will appear for the hearing.
On January 29, the court had recorded Salman’s statement in which the actor had “denied all the allegations and said he was neither carrying illegal arms and nor did he poach blackbucks,” the actor’s counsel, Hastimal Saraswat, said while talking to a news agency.
On the night of October 1-2, 1998, two blackbucks, a protected species under the Wildlife Protection Act — the hunting or poaching of the same is a punishable offence under the law — were killed on the outskirts of Kankani village near Jodhpur while the shooting of the movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, was going on.
A complaint was filed against Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan and actresses Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre on charges of being involved in the killing of the two protected animals.
At that time the Bollywood star was also accused of carrying weapons with expired licences.
In February 2006, the superstar was convicted under the Wild Life Act for poaching a blackbuck and was sentenced to one-year imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 5,000.
Trial of the blackbuck case was resumed on May 25, 2013, after 7 years of suspension after the Rajasthan High Court rejected the revision petition, filed by the state government in 2006.
In November 2013, the Rajasthan High Court stayed the conviction of actor Salman Khan in the case, which helped him get visa from countries which do not allow convicts to visit. The Jodhpur District Court comprising Chief Judicial Magistrate Chandra Kala Jain, after examining all prosecution witnesses, on January 15, 2014 asked Salman Khan to appear before the court in the case.
In December 2013, Salman Khan’s counsel had stated there were no direct evidences against the actor that he was carrying arms with expired licences during the alleged Blackbuck poaching at the nearby Kankani village in 1998.
The counsel also added that the case against the actor was nothing but a bunch of untruth, which had failed to take into consideration some very important facts.
In December 2012 fresh charges were imposed on the actor. Salman has been charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act, while others under Section 52 of the Act and Section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the IPC.

All you need to know about Iulia Vantur, Salman Khan's 'girlfriend'

All you need to know about Iulia Vantur, Salman Khan's 'girlfriend'
The gossip mill round-up of Iulia Vantur, Salman Khan's latest love interest.

If there is anything more confusing than Rahul Gandhi's role in the Congress, it has to be Salman Khan's role in the lives of several beautiful women who make it to tabloid headlines everyday. A quick round up of recent news around Salman and women would throw up stories about the actor planning to launch Katrina's sister Isabella, advising Suraj Pancholi to get rid of Jiah Khan and backing starlet Sanaa Khan who allegedly tried to abduct a 14-year-old girl.

With partial or no confirmation from Khan, these pieces of news fizzled out after Twitter ran out of jokes. However, the girl who has remained in focus is Iulia Vantur, a Romanian TV actor who has earned the good fortune of being called his 'girlfriend' by the media.

So who is Iulia Vantur? Since, none of us have enough language skills to refer to Romanian TV we'll have to go by hearsay.

Vantur is an actress - pretty, blonde, fair with blue eyes. You would have mistaken her for one of the several hundred background dancers in expensive Bollywood films, but then this picture surfaced on the internet.
This was Lulia/Iulia looking ecstatic while lounging in a fairly uncomfortable angle on what looks like a window ledge. And she is wearing a Being Human t-shirt. Gossip mills no lost time to decipher the reason behind her inexplicable glee in the picture as a possible association with Salman Khan.

A celebrity gossip website added fuel to the fire by evocatively recollecting how Salman Khan, extended his shoulder to Iulia who was nursing a broken heart. It might have been since the two met thanks to her former flame, Grammy winning musician and Romanian producer Marius Moga in Romania.

reportedly hosted Iulia during her month-and-half-long second visit. He also helped her to get over with Moga chapter. Both are in constant touch with each other and are seen together at many places.
Sometime in May this year Hindustan Times reported that Khan, tired to getting the short shrift from women who dump him, has decided to marry his Romanian girlfriend.

Theagencies quoted a concerned source as saying: "Bhai (Salman) is extremely serious about his new girlfriend. She has been in his life for around two years...everyone is telling him to marry her."
In a dutiful follow-up, papers have reported today that Iulia might have moved into Salman's parents' house, who, obviously are happy with the development. India Today reports:

If the grapevineis to be believed, Lulia is staying with Salman's parents. No, don't jump to any conclusion yet. Here's the explanation - Lulia is based out of US and she is new in this country. She doesn't know the language nor is she familiar with the place.

So, as expected, Khan offered her accommodation at his parent's place. Iulia, meanwhile, has kept the gossip mills abuzz by appearing regularly in the web in bridal red sarisor in Indian attires, bindi et al, visiting religious shrines. For all you know, this might be a social media fairytale, destined to fizzle out once it has run its course. But who's complaining when it's so much fun playing guessing games?

"Talking about the diversity in his family, he further said, "Wife, I am thinking to bring from outside." This is surely a positive, optimistic sign for his alleged girl friend Iulia Vantur. Salman also revealed that he is not a great boyfriend to his lovers but is a good friend. "When you are in a relationship you try everything to see that she doesn't leave you. You try to be good. The actor says something soon will happen in his life

During the India Today Conclave 2014 in New Delhi, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was in a jovial mood, speaking candidly and appearing witty with his one-liners.
He danced, sang and even agreed to auction his shirt for charity.
Leaving the audience in splits, Salman did not make his fans wait for what he does best – remove his shirt. Without batting an eyelid, Salman Khan unbuttoned his shirt on the stage.
Salman, appearing for the first time at the Conclave, said he was tired of being single for two-and-a-half years and said "something soon will happen in my life".
Since his break up with actress Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan has not been in a steady relationship but now the superstar has hinted at a possibility of getting hitched by the end of this year.
"Now I'm in transit period and I like it. From the age of 15, I did not get a transit period. For the first time, I have such a chance to sigh. I am sighing more since it has been two-and-a-half years. It's  time to stop sighing because soon, something soon will happen in my life," he said.
The 48-year-old 'Jai Ho' star, who was at his funniest best, did not rule out the chances of marrying Romanian beauty lulia Vantur, whom he is allegedly dating for quite some time.

Salman has often been linked with his co-stars and also being termed as a 'possessive' boyfriend. He admitted that he was a miserable lover but a great friend.
His relationship with Aishwarya Rai (Now Bachchan) has been tattered with claims of violence.
There was at least one such instance when Salman Khan almost got married to ex-flame Sangeeta Bijlani. Salman revealed on 'Koffee With Karan', they came close to getting married – she is still very close to the actor and his family.
Not naming his first girlfriend, Salman Khan said, “If I stuck to my first girlfriend, I’d be a grandfather by now".
Well, if Salman is seriously considering giving up his bachelorhood his private moment will be the biggest blockbuster of his life.

Thear is no actor in me, says SALMAN KHAN

There is no actor in me, says Salman Khan

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan spoke candidly, danced, sang and even agreed to auction his shirt for charity at the India Today Conclave 2014 in New Delhi on Saturday.

In a chat with Koel Purie Rinchet, Salman, appearing for the first time at the Conclave, said he was tired of being single for two-and-a-half years and said "something soon will happen in my life".

"Now I'm in transit period and I like it. From the age of 15, I did not get a transit period. For the first time, I have such a chance to sigh. I am sighing more since it has been two-and-a-half years. It's time to stop sighing because soon, something soon will happen in my life," he said.

Salman though rued that his parents had aged faster due to troubles he kept getting into. "No child would have given them as may problems. I was a naughty kid. They had to hear slanderous things about their son from others -- the jail episodes, the cases that have come. If these things would not have come, my father and mother would have looked as young as I look now.

When asked about the actor in him, Salman said: "There is no actor in me, at all. I don't act there. I act in real life."Asked if his heart was in the films he did now, he said: "I really like those films and they (the filmmakers) are my family. If a producer gives me a super script and if I don't get along with that producer, I won't do the film".

On why he did not do serious films any more, he said: "I tried films with messages. Now I send text. They are cheaper."Salman said he opened the charitable Being Human trust for several reasons. "We have opened a charitable trust and we try to do good work. You do good work to genuinely feel good or to hide some guilt or a fear or to show off or to change your image. I don't know for what I am doing this for -- maybe sometimes to show off, or do it genuinely or to change my image. But whatever be the reason, I'm doing good work," he said.Asked if his image had changed, Salman said: "That is my personality defect. When change begins to happen, I don't like it. I am not a bad or good boy, I am the way I am."

"Sometimes yes, I have been inhuman...Some things I have done were perhaps not correct. Being inhuman means Salman used to be this really great guy because he used to do a lot of work for friends for free. He is inhuman now because he negotiates and does the work he wants to do. Now, Salman has become inhuman."

Salman said he is a bad boyfriend but a good friend and said he likes his phase of being single. But he said he missed kids. "But I don't want the mother."

Salman also said he could consider donating his sperm. "Like Vicky Donor, you can have Salman donor. It will be really good. It's the most charitable thing to do."
Asked what would he say when he turned 71, he said: "It might be really awkward working with 20-23 year old girls."

The session also saw Salman the Singer. He hummed a line from "Teri meri prem kahani hai muskhil, do lafzon main bayan na ho paye."As the evening wore on, he was urged to auction his shirt to fund toilets for women (to be built by Jack Sim, founder of Restroom Association of Singapore and World Toilet Organisation), but but instead agreed to auction hugs.

He did unbutton his shirt and ensured commitment from the guests to pay for up to 600 "sexy toilets", each costing around Rs 12,000.
