I am indebted to Salman Khan for whatever I am today: Himesh Reshammiya...

Salman Khan gave Himesh Reshammiya his first big break in Bollywood.
Musician-actor Himesh Reshammiya, who is gearing up for the release of his musical-thriller ‘The Xpose’, says he will always be indebted to mentor Salman Khan for his continuous love and support.
Salman gave Himesh his first big break in Bollywood and he composed music for his movie ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’.
Later, Salman and Himesh gave many hit film albums together like ‘Yeh Hai Jalwa’, ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge’ among others. He tasted first major success as a music director with 2003 Salman-starrer ‘Tere Naam’.
“He is a legend he is the best brother I can have. I am indebted to him for whatever I am today and the whole Khan family for giving me a break. He is a genius and he knows his job very well,” Himesh said in an interview here.
“He surprises every year with something new.. That is why he is a superstar and will continue to survive for another 50 years. He has the knack to connect with the audience. He is the most lovable star,” he said.
Apparently, in between Himesh had distanced himself from Salman and began presenting himself as an actor. The trouble between Salman and Himesh had become apparent when the former had appeared in a TV reality show and had taken a jibe at Himesh.
But they have returned to be friends and the rumoured war is over. In 2011, Himesh and Salman buried the hatchet when Himesh gave music for his film ‘Bodyguard’.
Himesh will also compose music for Salman’s other two upcoming films Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Kick’.
On acting front, Himesh seems excited about his upcoming film ‘The Xpose’.
“It is a murder mystery set in the film industry of 60s. In 60s, there was a conservative atmosphere in industry but two leading ladies – Zeenat Aman and Praveen Babi – came forward in a bold avatar and it changed the whole scenario,” Himesh said.
“We have this incident (murder) that takes place at an after award party in the first five minutes of the film where the actress is murdered. My character is named Ravi Kumar who is ex-cop turned superstar, Honey Singh is playing negative character of a music director,” Himesh said.
“Irrfan Khan is doing a special appearance.. He is playing the role of a black marketer, Adil Hussain who is a underworld don and there are lot of producers and directors. There are about 11 suspects for this murder.. It is who-dun-it story. It is a new setting for this film,” he said.
The film directed by Anant Mahadevan stars Himesh, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, Zoya Afroz, Sonali Raut and Irrfan Khan for a special appearance. It is expected to release on May 16.

'I am indebted to Salman for whatever I am today'

Mumbai, May 9 (PTI) Musician-actor Himesh Reshammiya, who is gearing up for the release of his musical-thriller 'The Xpose', says he will always be indebted to mentor Salman Khan for his continuous love and support.

Salman gave Himesh his first big break in Bollywood and he composed music for his movie 'Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya'.

Katrina Kaif beats Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar to be the most downloaded celebrity!

Katrina Kaif beats Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar to be the most downloaded celebrity!

Katrina Kaif has outdone his alleged ex-boyfriend Salman Khan to be the most downloaded celebrity on mobile phones. Yes, you read that right.
Ranbir Kapoor’s alleged girlfriend might have started her career on the lines of Sunny Leone, but today she is indeed at the top with maximum fans searching for her. To an extent that the Jab Tak Hai Jaanactor has topped this chart for the last four consecutive years.Which makes it clear that the Dhoom:3 babe has indeed triggered a thousand fantasies

Following Kat is none other than Salman, who has become the most sought after actor in Bollywood today. His last film, Jai Ho might not have been successful at the box office compared to his other films, but it’s clear that the Dabangg Khan’s fans will be stuck with him until the very end.
Placing third on the list is Priyanka Chopra. Looks like her sizzling item number in Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer, Ram-Leela and her international singles have helped her to make it to the third position in the list of the most downloaded celebrities.
Shahrukh Khan is fourth on this chart, which is quite surprising considering the humungous fan following he has.

Following King Khan are Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma. It’s quite surprising to not see Sunny Leone in this list. After all she has become a rage on the internet after her last horrex film, Ragini MMS 2.

Katrina Kaif keeps Ranbir happy? Not working with Salman Khan

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is currently working on Kabir Khan's film 'Phantom' opposite Saif Ali Khan.
Katrina is like a family friend and very close to director Kabir. The two spend lot of time beyond the sets and discuss everything under the sun - professional and personal.
They have collaborated in three films together - 'New York', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Phantom' back-to-back.
So, it was presumed that Katrina will be part of Kabir's next project starring Salman Khan.
    But the director says "No".
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror Kabir Khan said that Katrina will not star in his next film as the role does not suit her.
Or is it because Salman Khan doesn't want to work with his ex-girlfriend?
It is unlikely because the two worked together in 'Ek Tha Tiger' and the movie was one of the highest grossers in 2012.
There on-screen chemistry was the talk of the town and Katrina accompanied Salman everywhere during the promotional tour.
It has been seen that Salman and his family never had problems with his exes.
Katrina had dated Salman in the past but owing to Salman's commitment issues the actress moved on for more secure relationship.
Love blossomed between Katrina and Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'.
Ranbir-Katrina always tried to keep their personal life away from the eyes of the media, but failed after pictures of their secret holiday in Spain leaked all over social media.
But Katrina had her share of relationship troubles with Ranbir as well.
They've been through several lovers’ tiff - for his commitment phobia, to her want of a more definite future with him.
Now according to the latest buzz, they are past all the initial relationship hiccups and may tie the knot in 2015.
Most reports suggest this may have been the direct result of Katrina's ultimatum to Ranbir post their alleged New Year's tiff.
So after all the fights, tears and troubles Katrina would not like to do anything to spoil her relationship with Ranbir.
Working with Salman will definitely be one of the "do nots" on her list

Salman Khan starrer Kick to get new release date?

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Kick was initially scheduled to release on Eid, and those keen on knowing, knew Salman had been working non-stop just so the team could stick to this release date.
Now, according to what reports are suggesting, Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut may get a new release date. There's reportedly a 40-day scheduled still waiting to get completed.

Salman Khan starrer Kick was supposed to release on Eid this year.

This is yet another delay for the movie that started late anyway due to some issue apparently with Salman Khan's UK visa, and the most recent development: the reopening of the 2002 hit-and-run case involving the actor.
Other instances like the makers wanting bulk dates for Salman, Jacqueline and Randeep (also in the film), only delayed the movie further, according to reports. Meanwhile, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is shooting for his part in the film.
There were also reports of Deepika Padukone doing an item number in the film, news that has been reportedly been denied by producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala. As far as any delays are concerned, Sajid has been quoted by a daily as saying they're sticking to the original Eid release date.

Salman Khan's film 'Kick' gets delayed

Sources say Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez may miss its Eid release date
With the shooting for 'Kick', starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, apparently running behind schedule, the film's release might get pushed ahead; the film was supposed to release during Eid this year. A unit member says, "One 40-day schedule is still pending and the film's post production might get delayed.

The film's shoot started late due to Salman's visa troubles in the UK; in fact, we had to shoot with Randeep Hooda and other cast members while Sallu's problems were being sorted out. Later, when we wanted bulk dates of all three actors (Salman, Randeep and Jacqueline), it did not happen as they had allotted dates to other projects. So the shoot kept getting pushed ahead. Shooting for the film is currently on at Mumbai's Mehboob studios where scenes featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui are being shot."
Meanwhile, latest buzz also suggests that Deepika Padukone, who was supposed to star in the film, has been approached to do an item number. Says a source, "She didn't sign the film, but now the makers want her to do an item number. Deepika's schedule is chock-a-block with other projects but as of now, she has verbally agreed to do the song."

Producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala denied the news. He said, "We are working at a good pace and we will release the film on Eid as scheduled." About Deepika doing an item number, he said, "We have not locked anyone for the item number."

Salman Khan suffers setback in the 2002 accident case...

Actor Salman Khan's legal woes seem to have taken a turn for the worst today.
The prosecution witnesses in the 2002 accident case involving the superstar, identified him as the person who came out of his Land Cruiser in a drunk state. The witness also maintained that the actor escaped from the mishap site.
It's another thing that the superstar's father Salim Khan has time and again maintained that Salman ran way from the site to escape mob fury which had started pelting stones at him.
The witnesses were among the injured who were run over by the star's car on September 28, 2002 when they were sleeping on a footpath near American Express Bakery on that night
The actor arrived in the court this morning at around 11.00 am accompanied by his two sisters Elvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan, his business manager Reshma Shetty, friend Prashant (better known as Pippy) and his loyal bodyguard Shera.
Salman's overall personality seemed slightly subdued though he looked every bit the superstar in a jeans and light blue, floral print shirt with boots that added a few inches extra to the short actor's height.
As Salman entered the room no 16 on the 2nd floor of the sessions court building, it did not require too much effort to realise that this was no regular hearing.
At least a dozen constables were parked on duty outside room no 16 and there was marked buzz in the corridors which is unlikely to be found during other court hearings.
The court was adjourned for lunch break at around 2 pm. The hearing resumed post lunch break at 3.45 pm. While a few photographers on bike did try to follow the star, they lost track of where he sped away for lunch.
Outside the court, the police had a tough time keeping eager-beaver fans and the media in control. Equipment of a few photographers was damaged in the jostling and pushing. In fact, it was strange to find the cops shielding his car and preventing the shutterbugs from clicking the superstar. A scuffle ensured between the cops and the photographers soon.
Such is Salman's star power that a few cops could not resist taking pictures with the star before he got into his car to leave for home at the end of the day.
The agitated media photographers told the cops, "Why aren't you letting us click pictures when you yourself were asking the star to pose for photographs with you?"
The prosecution is expected to examine another three witnesses on May 19.
